The Vault - Security Made Easy App Reviews

I have used The Vault for a long time now, I love its simplicity but after this most recent update the app does not open... please help UPDATE: back up and running smoothly and back to 5 stars, thanks!!

I loved this app until the last update and then it froze on me! Ive read everything online to tell me what to do but it just sits there and will not download. I even contacted the app company and they couldnt help either. All of my passwords were on there and now I am in a terrible jam. I couldnt even delete it! Such a headache now that it decided not to work!

I loved this until I updated. Now the upgrade wont finish and I am stuck. No way to finish upgrade. Read mode only.

At this moment, the ‘Vault’ folks have decided to upgrade my previous version, which I was completely happy with, without informing me in advance. When I now try to open the Vault I now have “Read Only” access to the Vault contents — I can’t change or upgrade it. They want me to “SecureBackup" my data — in other words, send it to somewhere I don’t know about — before I upgrade. Overall the screen leaves me three choices — back it up somewhere I don’t know about, don’t back it up and risk losing it, or accept the fact that I now have only read-only access.

I have use this for a couple years now it is read only. Why do I suddenly have to pay for an upgrade.

The new current version wont prepare a secure backup. I cannot find a way to contact the app makers other than to leave a bad review. Also the crop photo option is missing.

I highly recommend this app. I have been using it for about a year. I have a tremendous amount of data in it. I recently purchased an iPod fifth-generation and I wanted to sync my data from my iPad. At first I had a little trouble, so I contacted the developer and received immediate excellent feedback to solve my problem. I dont think you can go wrong with this secure document/password storage and encryption app. Thank you so much!

The previous version wouldnt even launch as Im still on iOS 8.3. Latest version fixes this and works well as a simple encrypted holder of private information.

I have had this app for a couple years and have liked it BUT now I have been trying to sync the app with my iPad. So no laughing allowed I have been trying to make the syncing work for two F----ing years. The Vault is synced with Dropbox which I dont use for anything else but had to use when I started trying to sync two years ago. Why doesnt The Vault sync with iCloud or one drive? I still cannot get my iPad to sync. How many hours do I have to spend on this. YES all the right thing are paid for and the right things are turned on. Just trying to sync data, no pics, movies or other stuff. Yes same password on my iPhone and iPad. This should not be this difficult. Do not get this APP if you want to sync another device that is unless you want to get a headache and waste your time!!!!!!!

On 12/1/16 update failed to inastall making all secured data inaccessible. Shame on you. Bad show for a security product.

I have rarely had such excellent support for problem-solving. All of my difficulties are from my own ignorance (Im not computer savvy at all) and the folks at Vault are terrific. So, the app works to do everything I want, and any confusion Ive had is solved quickly by the support team. Theyve taken time to follow-up and make sure Ive "got it." Best ever

This has worked well for me. There was a bug in the previous version, which they fixed as soon as I complained about it.

This app is mature and stable, with frequent updates and a great response to any issues. Not only is it a great app for all-round security, it is also an impeccably behaved iTunes app.

I love The Vault! Its perfect and exactly right for me. I also love the Secure Backup feature. I would not want to be without The Vault. Thank you for this app. Also, please put ABC back to the left of the zero button.

Wow! The Vault is now more secure than ever/sarc. Keyboard is no longer alpha-numeric, just numeric...it wont switch to let you type letters. Indeed it is encrypted in a way I wouldve never conceived. FIX IT!

Unable to enter alpha characters now since latest update, only accepts numbers. Im locked out of all docs and notes until this is corrected. Just terrible.

I am unable to log in to the vault app due to alphabet keyboard is not coming up after install in new version of the app

I absolutely love this app! But with the latest update of iOS, this app has been acting funny. The strangest thing is that when I can attempt to hit the ABC button to type in my passcode it will not work. Then I remembered it if you shake the phone while in the app the keyboard will appear, which can be a bit annoying. Otherwise this is a great app!!!
